7.31.09 Lavished Past

I wanted to get out and find a fun location today, since I've been stuck inside most of the time the past few days, stupid rain... So after I ran some errands I made it nearly back home without being inspired, but then remembered this fabulous old church a few miles away... Of course I've never really paid much attention to it, it's off the beaten path just enough... (Just enough that it's swarming with mosquitoes, omg! I jumped in the shower as soon as I got home, I kept feeling little bugs on me even after I left...) Anyway, this church is over 100 years old, and unfortunately not used anymore, but still just as gorgeous as one would expect from a charming one-room chapel... Still, if you look close enough, it's easy to see it's starting to degrade a bit... broken sidewalk, paint chips all around, uneven foundation... But once it was a gorgeous place of worship... Not that I'm wearing a very church-appropriate dress, at least not from this angle, but I wanted so badly to show off the back of this dress!
