9.14.09 Protecting Innocence

It's been so long since I played in the rain, so today I just couldn't resist My hair is totally paying for it, the humidity turned it into one huge fluff ball, but whatever, I can always throw it up into a bun at work if I need to. I thought it was raining enough I'd need my umbrella, but it wasn't really, and the trees were catching what little rain was falling, so I only got wet on my feet really But I already had the umbrella out, so I thought I'd have some fun with it. Always nice to use a new prop My arm is kinda awkward here, but you try leaning over backward, on your toes, with an umbrella in one hand, and see what your other arm looks like The colors didn't come out like I expected them to, but I was able to salvage that by going with a gradient map that really pulled out the contrasts... Of course in doing that I totally overexposed my face, but whatever, I kept coming back to this shot (I have a few others I may post later, we'll see) and I just liked the pose and the framing...
